You Might Know

Spring, you might know, is blossom-heavy.
But May always begins the same way;
The rain comes tapping at my window,
Knowing I lie alone in the dark.

So I go walking in daylight hours
Among the apple trees and splaying
Magnolias, the sinuous lilacs,
Petals falling, drying as I pass.

About John MacKenzie

I'll mumble for ya. Poetry, plus most things quantifiable: science, neuroscience, memory, epistemology, baseball. And so on.
